Rubie Le Masurier is a 15 year old Mezzo/Alto completing her GCSEs at Jersey College for Girls. Studying singing with Imogen Nicholls MBE at the Musical Originals studio, she has also been going for regular singing lessons with Janice Chapman (one of the world’s leading vocal pedagogues) in London since the beginning of 2025. Rubie has recently won the title PWC Young Musician of the year 2026 and is also a Music in Action Young artist.

In 2023 Rubie won the Llangollen international Eistedfodd junior soloist award, and in 2024 was a finalist in the BBC Young chorister of the year which was aired internationally. Since childhood she has competed in the annual Jersey Eistedfodd as a singer and for the past 2 years she has received the highest mark in the whole musical Eistedfodd for solo singing. She is a member of the Musical Originals senior choir, National youth choir of Great Britain and has attended the Chetham’s Summer Music school 2025 and will be returning this year.

Rubie is an active musician in the Jersey community, singing a range of classical, opera and jazz music for concerts and gigs. She has also professionally recorded music for the Methodist Church circuit UK and will be playing in a film series for them this year.
