Samuel is a passionate singer, multi-instrumentalist, and enjoys exploring a diverse range of musical genres from classical choral to classic rock.

Born into a musical household, he began singing as soon as he could talk, learned the piano from the age of seven, and when a school performance needed a bass guitar, Sam picked one up and performed with it just a week later.

He studied electric guitar at Jenca, drums with Ernie Mallet, and continues to drum for the Concert Band at Victoria College.

It was singing in a performance of Carmina Burana at the age of 11 which inspired a love of choral singing. Sam has since sung in performances of choral works such as Fauré Requiem, Rutter Magnificat, Handel’s Messiah, and many more. Joining the Jersey Chamber Choir for Bach’s St. John Passion has served to fuel his passion ever more: he joined Victoria College’s tour to Italy in which he both sang and played drums, he has sung in Basel’s Stadtcasino, one of the top ten concert halls in the world, and the solo in Libera me from Fauré’s Requiem for Victoria College’s Remembrance Day Service.

Sam is looking forward to studying Biomedical Science at university next year whilst, of course, taking his love of music with him.
